Dr. Brad Snead, Medical Director of Snead Eye Group, is a board-certified Ophthalmologist offering a wealth of experience in cataract and refractive surgery. His commitment to providing exceptional quality surgery to his patients is reflected by the numerous referrals he receives from fellow eye care professionals and previous patients.
Dr. Brade Snead completed his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After receiving his Medical Degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Dr. Brad Snead completed his Internal Medicine Internship at the Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama, his Ophthalmology residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, and he received his MBA from Auburn University. He received numerous honors and research awards throughout his training.
Dr. Brad Snead is one of the most accomplished surgeons in his field. He is consistently recognized within his profession for his exceptional surgical skills and excellent patient outcomes. He provides his patients with the latest techniques while performing cataract surgery, functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery, glaucoma surgery, and laser vision correction. Known for the superior quality of his surgery, Dr. Brad Snead also manages many complex cases referred to him by other ophthalmologists.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Brad Snead regularly gives his time and surgical talents to help those in need through organizations, such as the Lions Club and EyeCare America. He also lectures within the community, performs free public eye screenings and provides treatment options to those in need.
Dr. Brad Snead is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds professional memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, Florida Medical Association, Lee County Medical Society, and Collier County Medical Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Brad Snead enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid athlete and former five-time Alabama State Tennis Champion. He enjoys tennis, golf, biking, as well as traveling to the mountains with his family.
