While in optometry school, Dr. Allison Coll completed externships with various optometry and ophthalmology practices in Philadelphia, Charleston, Savannah, and the VA Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Dr. Allison Coll completed her optometry residency focused in ocular disease, specialty contact lenses and low vision at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association and the Southwest Florida Optometric Association.
Upon joining the Snead Eye Group in July 2020, Dr. Allison Coll brings her knowledge and expertise in primary eye care. She enjoys all aspects of eye care, including comprehensive eye exams, pre-and post-operative care of cataract, eyelid and glaucoma surgeries, as well as ocular disease management.
Dr. Allison Coll is dedicated to promoting proper eye health. She works closely with primary care physicians and Internal Medicine Specialists to build awareness of the importance of annual eye exams for all patients, especially diabetic patients and all other patients at high risk. She will continue the Snead Eye Group’s educational outreach by providing lectures and complementary vision screenings throughout the area.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cheering on all of Philadelphia’s sports teams and soaking up the Florida sunshine.
